As you might have guessed after clicking or typing in the URL, we are the iCare. Gaming Community.
We have a pretty simple creed we live by: “We don’t care, as long as we have fun!”.
We started out as two groups of friends playing the Call of Duty franchise, we gave ourselves the name TTVW (“Te Triest Voor Woorden”) and NLD. We managed to annoy each other in online games and kept looking for each other, this competitive attitude created the merger of TTVW and NLD into the iCare. Clan!
As time went forward and the Clan got more dedicated members, our resources increased and our “brand name” was being recognized we noticed we needed a change. We were not a clan anymore, those characteristics didn’t fit, we found each other outside of the games, we helped each other when people where in need… We were starting to become a gaming community where people got involved in to each other’s lives, for the good and the bad!
This meant we needed a change in how we saw the clan, how we managed it and how we would do our selection criteria on new members.
We started integrating other clans that became a part of the community, with their own focus and characteristics, we started to recruit people for how their personality fit within the group and how their norms and value’s reflected on the Community.
This made our selection criteria really simple:
Do you “click” with the people in the community (can we laugh with you, can we play games as a team, are you someone we can talk with?)
Are you an active member of the community? (do you try and keep contact with the people you click with, (teamspeak, whatsapp, Website), do you join us to play or simply talk with the people in the community? At least once a month would be a minimum for us)
Are you 18 years of age or over? (exceptions are made, but we want a mature mindset, we are still immature in our own right, so we don’t need any extremes on that part).
Do you adopt a 0 tolerance policy on hacking? (we do not look kindly on hackers, cheaters or the likes, if you are one you don’t fit in the community, if you try and make the life of hackers/cheaters miserable … we welcome you !)
The first two are something that needs to be experienced on both sides, so don’t be shy and join us!
Show us who you are and we will show you who we are, if it clicks, it clicks.
